MediaZone Pro and InfoZone Pro software are often updated with new features and bug fixes as needed. MediaZone Pro users may check for updates at anytime directly in the MediaZone Editor Pro program.
Current Versions of Keywest Digital Signage Software:
- MediaZone Pro Editor = 2.0.0.23
- MediaZone Pro Player = 8.0.0.7c
- InfoZone Pro 3.0.0.7
STEP 1: MediaZone Editor Pro update procedure:
- Open the MediaZone Editor Pro program.
- Click on the Application Menu button (round icon in upper left corner of program)
- Click Options button in the bottom right corner to open the dialog box.
- Click the Resource button in the left column.
- Click the “Check for Updates” button in the dialog box
- If new software is available, a FTP site will open to automatically reveal the download link.
- Download new software and click “Run” to install over old version.
- If you wish to install the update later, right click update link and select “save as” to download
NOTE! PROCEED TO STEP 2: The MediaZone Pro Player software must be updated to utilize added functions. Updated player software (ver. 8.0.0.7c) may be downloaded here:

STEP 2: MediaZone Pro Player update procedure:
- Download Player update to a USB drive.
- Hook up keyboard, mouse and monitor to MediaZone Pro player.
- Browse to USB drive and run MediaZone Pro Player Update 8.0.0.7c
- Update will install itself.
- Repeat for every MediaZone Pro player in system.
Overview of MediaZone Editor Pro Version 2.0.0.23 Improvements:
Media Browser
- Modified Load-Media-Folder to improve behavior of video thumbnails, which did not always appear after a refresh.
Instant Commands
- Modified the Instant command wizard to disable the query panel if a group is selected, and also to eliminate potential errors related to groups.
Crawl Editor
- Updated the Crawl Editor to replace the Google weather API with custom weather API.
- Modified Crawl Editor to eliminate the automatic recognition of URLs.
- Fixed a bug in the Crawl Editor, text and variable editor to properly allow assignment of additional and custom colors.
- Fixed a bug in the Text Editor that improperly located the highlighting of text
General Updates
- Several calls to the Windows API Code Pack were changed to eliminate incompatibility issues with Windows XP.
- Changed the Open dialog to set the initial directory to the default sets folder.
- Added a check for illegal comma characters in the playlist filename.
- Manage Players and Groups was updated to include view selection on the Groups tab, for switching from Icons to Details view.
