Software Update

MediaZone Pro and InfoZone Pro software are updated with new features, options and bug fixes often. MediaZone Pro users may check for updates at anytime directly in the MediaZone Editor Pro program.

If you have any question about software updates, patches, suggestions, etc., please contact tech support by email, chat, or dial 800-331-2019 during regular business hours.

Current Versions of Keywest Digital Signage Software:

  • MediaZone Pro = 2.0.0.15
  • InfoZone Pro 3.0.0.7

MediaZone Editor Pro update procedure:

  1. Open the MediaZone Editor Pro program.
  2. Click on the Application Menu button (round icon in upper left corner of program)
  3. Click Options button in the bottom right corner to open the dialog box.
  4. Click the Resource button in the left column.
  5. Click the “Check for Updates” button in the dialog box
  6. If new software is available, a FTP site will open to automatically reveal the download link.
  7. Download new software and click “Run” to install over old version.
  8. If you wish to install the update later, right click update link and select “save as” to download.


    Overview of MediaZone Editor Pro Version 2.0.0.15 Improvements:

  • The Share ribbon tab was added for items related to communication

  • The Retrieve Playlists wizard was added for retrieving a playlist or schedule of playlists from a player

  • The File Transfer wizard was added for sending and retrieving individual files to and from a player
  • Added Export to USB, which launches a wizard for sending a playlist or schedule of playlists to a drive

  • Added Import from USB, which launches a wizard for retrieving a playlist or schedule of playlists from a drive

  • Added a button to launch the external Instant Crawl application

  • Added the Import/Export menu to the application menu

  • Redesigned the Add Web Page cropping tool, which now launches a full screen web browser with a blue window for setting the cropping dimensions. Long web pages are now handled. Scrolling the web page scrolls the cropping window

  • Added a new checkbox to the Options dialog, Advanced tab: Use passive transfer protocol mode. When checked, all FTP transfers are sent using Passive mode. When unchecked, they are sent using Active mode. A new KeywestLibrary.dll, version 1.0.0.7, is part of the 2.0.0.15 update

  • Improvements were made to the embedding of preview image data to ensure 64-bit string compatibility

  • Improved the validation of file existence during the Send Playlist wizard, so that template (.etmp) files are validated

  • Modified the Form launch code, so that when the "Launch application in a maximized state" option is checked, the application will no longer prompt to save your work when opening the first playlist

  • Modifications to the Send Playlist wizard include a new Save button at the end of the wizard, for saving changes to a schedule of playlists without sending to a player. The scheduled playlists control now includes a recurrence checkbox, to schedule a playlist to recur every hour on the hour, with a control for specifying the time after the hour. The recurrence is valid for the times between the start and end times. Added a new Remove All Playlists button. Improvements were made to the details view to remove the last row, hide the first column, and allow proper removal of the highlighted row. Improvements were made to check for conflicts of scheduled playlists

  • Added the Instant Commands wizard to the Share tab, for sending a variety of commands to a player or group of players.  

  • Here is a list of the new Instant Commands:  Pause, Resume, Play a Playlist that is on the player only once, Retrieve Log file with preview of the log files, Get filename of what is currently being played, Retrieve thumbnail from the MediaZone Pro player if it has InfoZone Player running on it.  

  • Added an Email button to the share menu for attaching playlist files to an email

  • Added a Help button to the File menu

  • Removed the Zones tab from the Zone List pane

  • Added a drop shadow to the canvas

  • Improved the coordinate location label in the lower right area of the status bar, to include the coordinates when the cursor is moved over a zone

  • Renamed the application menu to File

  • Renamed the Communicate menu to Share

  • A variety of other bug fixes have been included in this update
