Keywest Technology unveils MediaZone digital signage software

The company charts a new direction with the introduction of a professional, software-only digital signage solution while maintaining its commitment to offering turnkey systems for customers requiring a complete digital signage solution.

Lenexa, KS (Feb. 6, 2008) Keywest Technology today has introduced MediaZone , a new, digital signage software-only editor that delivers all of the content blending and multimedia playlist development and management tools required for professional applications.

MediaZone is a user-configurable template-based digital signage editor that runs on low-cost Microsoft® Windows® 2000, XP/Pro or Vista^TM -based personal computers. With MediaZone, users build and schedule digital signage media in easy-to-use templates with built-in "media zones" where elements, such as video, graphics, animation and text, are blended. Media elements are accessed from a browser directory, dragged and dropped into place in template zones.

MediaZone supports common PC and Apple multimedia files, which can be added to media zones, where content ranging from graphics and text to HTML, XML and RSS feeds are aggregated in real time from various sources and managed for play out on the network. MediaZone is resolution-independent and can blend graphic and video elements from standard video to HD.

The new software-only digital signage solution also provides all of the tools to easily schedule and manage content playback. Multiple sets of media can be scheduled to playback from minutes to months in advance. MediaZone also makes it easy for users to set up playback for various dayparts to deliver appropriate content as digital signage network audiences change throughout the day.

MediaZone also comes bundled with Keywest Technology's MediaCreator professional character generator to provide all of the tools needed to create graphic pages advanced color box zone layouts, text crawls, logos and CG text.

Keywest Technology's new MediaZone digital signage editor application runs on cost-effective Windows® 2000, XP, or Vista^TM PC platforms. Full preview of media sets can be viewed on PCs equipped with ATI® Radeon or equivalent graphic cards that have 256MB of video memory.
