The InfoZone™ media management server from Keywest Technology equips you with two specialized programs that control, schedule, monitor and distribute content to remote media players on a digital signage network. InfoZone offers reliable, enterprise-class digital signage management when your bottom line is at stake and excuses are not acceptable.

Ideally suited for use in retail, industry, government and educational settings, InfoZone consists of two server management programs called Dashboard and Traffic Manager. They combine to give you easy access to your entire digital signage network through the convenience of a web browser.

Dashboard was designed as a command and control center interface. It affords the digital signage system operator a visual display of all players on the network and the condition of each—current schedule, network data, and most importantly--Status (including programmable alerts). Dashboard also notifies the system operator by email, SMS, POTS or audible alarms should any problem arise as well as problems that are fixed. Furthermore, it performs network-healing function by monitoring select parameters and issuing appropriate corrective action commands from elevating volume controls to complete player reboot to power strip control.

Working in conjunction with Dashboard, Traffic Manager gives digital signage network operators the means to control a few or many media player devices located in one area or spread out around the globe, all from one central location. Traffic Manager provides the means to automatically update and download content to players (instantly or on a schedule), receive feedback from the remote players, and provides system redundancy so data flow can automatically reroute should network issues arise.

Additionally, Traffic Manager uses a push/pull network architecture to reliably manage MediaZone media players. This approach minimizes overall bandwidth requirement, because once content is distributed via the Internet, it resides locally. InfoZone Dashboard (not Traffic Manager) is also compatible with MediaPOD and Interactive-3.

Turnkey System

  • Keywest Technology provides InfoZone server only as a turnkey system. We use brand-name server hardware pre-configured and tested at the factory. InfoZone servers require on-site installation and training by Keywest Systems Group.

Control and Scheduling

With InfoZone's easy-to-use Web-browser software, users create playlists, schedule event playback and control what goes on their digital signage network in the most comprehensive way.

With the playlist function, users:

  • import presentation elements, such as MPEG video clips, text crawls, graphics, like static and animated logos, and sound, including music and dialog, onto a clipboard
  • drag and drop content elements onto individual playlists
  • move one element’s timeline in relationship to anothers

Playback can be scheduled for a single day and months in advance. Schedules can be set globally for all digital signage sites or customized for individual displays. When users add or delete items from their playlist, the schedule automatically ripples, or accommodates, the change. InfoZone server provides centralized data management, zoning logistics, system monitoring and feedback through a web browser.

Compatibility

InfoZone is fully compatible with the MediaZone digital signage system. InfoZone Dashboard works with MediaPOD and our MediaXtreme Interactive-3 systems.
