Racetrack and Casino Hits Jackpot With Digital Signage

Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Altoona, Iowa is meeting its marketing needs with playback and control technology from Keywest Technology. They have experienced a nice payoff with digital signage and have expanded the system three times to cover the needs of this vast gaming complex.

The track and casino relies on Keywest Technology Media PODs for its 24-channel digital signage installation. The system consists of digital door cards for conference rooms and large, landscape- and portrait-oriented flat-screen displays for the casino action.

Keywest Technology helped the facility's IT department integrate Keywest's control software with the track and casino's existing Newmarket Delphi Property Management Software. Keywest Technology designed, coded and deployed modifications to the interface of the management software package so data to drive the digital signage displays could be extracted automatically and reformatted for public display.

The installation has been expanded to 24 Keywest Technology Media POD players, video over Cat-5 transmitters and receivers and a network interface.
