Our History

Keywest Technology, a world leader in the design, manufacturing and marketing of digital signage controllers and players, television information systems and digital video processing equipment. Our company is dedicated to the proposition that the time customers spend installing and using video equipment should be like a day at the beach.

Founded in 1998 with professional television roots stretching back to 1979, Keywest Technology recognized early on, that the transition from analog to digital video using network technology was helping to propel an unprecedented expansion of the video industry and that a whole new group of customers, who weren’t necessarily engineering-oriented, were turning to video as a communications solution.

This transition meant that the vendor who could best design and market products that are easy-to-use and simple to set up -while simultaneously delivering all the features and performance that the most demanding video professional could desire- would have a tremendous leg up in the market. With that goal in mind, Keywest Technology set its course.

Among Keywest Technology’s many market offerings, most notable is the complete line of networked digital signage products marketed as the MediaXtreme™ series. This family of software and hardware products provides flexible, fully featured media players and servers that playback most common multimedia formats. Software authoring tools include a highly-acclaimed digital signage editor and CG that make quick work of digital signage production. The newest addition to MediaXtreme, the i3 software, enable flat panels to operate as interactive digital signage kiosks.

Keywest Technology also offers software engineering and application integration. The company’s services include digital signage engineering, system integration, and training. Past projects include contracts with large manufacturers like Carotek, Inc., an expert in mechanical and electrical integration of automated processing systems, the U.S. Navy, and companies that want to outsource non-core projects.
